Senor Banana
Lechuga de Huevos y Manzana Candelaria los Castillos y Chocolatl is
your average Aztec-Spanish Chihuahua. Co-owner of the Green Dog Cafe,
he's quite quiet until the caffeine kicks in. After a cup of high-test,
the air flames with cuatro-letter words, but the job gets done!
Bok Choi the Siamese Cat
co-owns the Green Dog Cafe with Senor Banana. Prone to frequent
destruction, and well into the allotted nine lives, Bok Choi is
nevertheless a very hard worker, and thought to be putting several
kittens through med school on tips.
Squash is a Sheepdog who
works as a Server at the Green Dog Cafe. English by genetics, he was
adopted by a Cornish Family and hence doesn't speak English all that
well. Not strong on luck, cleanliness and grace, he's still learning
the fine art of customer service.
Ella is the Green Dog
Cafe's equivalent of a barfly. Always there, always doing her coffee
neat, no one's ever seen her smile. Nevertheless, there are two great
joys in her life - the music of Billie Holliday and a good catfight
with the English Bulldog, her best friend.
Earl is a perfect
gentleman: dignified, peaceful, well-mannered, and knowledgeable in
wine and fine cuisine. A perfect gentleman, that is, unless Ella is
around. They spend a lot of time at the cafe together, bickering,
sniping, quibbling, and sometimes beating the stuffing out of each
other. Maybe it's love.
Happy Pudel was a nice
German dog until his owner decided to start entering him in beauty
contests. The last straw was when he was dyed blue. After defecting
from his hometown of Hundburg, he found a place around the corner from
here. He has only recently agreed to having the strip run in color. He
says he has learned in the USA that there is no such thing as bad
publicity and he doesn't care who knows what color he is.
